Our commitment towards reconciliation in Australia.

ARA’s vision for reconciliation is for a more inclusive and meaningful Australian business sector. Our RAP aims to provide solid opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and their businesses to succeed. Our first RAP represented a formal commitment to ARA’s values of inclusion and positive community engagement. Above all, it provided a practical framework to ensure that ARA implements tangible strategies and delivers on measurable outcomes as part of the program.

Our RAP steering committee (which is comprised of majority senior management and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander representation) is responsible for ensuring that ARA Mechanical in conjunction with the ARA Group delivers strong outcomes for the commitments we have made.

By building on strong relationships we aspire to promote social and economic wellbeing through four key objectives:

  1.  Sustainable Employment
  2. Meaningful Community Partnerships (Community Engagement)
  3. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander business inclusion
  4. Cultural Awareness

Our clients span across all sectors and vertical markets, including: government, education, health, transport, corporate, commercial, and retail. We are on a mission to strengthen partnerships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians through understanding, encouragement and active involvement. It is our vision to create a link and avenue to the Indigenous communities in the Remote Indigenous Procurement Policy (RIPP) regions and to engage with the community through encouragement, support, philanthropy and active involvement.
